Hand-knotted Bidjar (Bidgar) rug runner – India

A beautiful hand-knotted Bidjar style rug runner, made in India around the 1980s. Bidjar rugs are often known as "Persian iron rugs" because of their very high knot density and durability.

The rug has a classic Persian floral pattern with an ivory/cream background and details in rust brown, navy blue, olive green and beige. The dense knotting (approx. 160,000 knots) gives the rug durability and an elegant appearance.

Perfect for a hallway, in front of a bed, in a hallway or as a decorative accent rug.
